This includes gunshot victims. Miguel’s bar in Lancaster had been an eyesore to neighbors for years. On Dec. 23, 2001 the bar was over crowded and a fight broke out that emptied into the parking lot. A bouncer and C&S client Gilberto Rodriguez were in the process of breaking up the fight when an individual known as “C” murder was accidentally elbowed in the face. In retaliation, “C” murder, who was already wanted for a murder in New York, pulled a gun from the waistband of his pants and fatally shot the bouncer and Rodriguez. In 2003, Cooper & Schall, |
PC represented the young Rodriguez children who lost their father. We filed a lawsuit against Miguel’s Bar for over crowding and inadequate security. As a result of the lawsuit, not only was Miguel’s closed, but the Rodriguez children received financial compensation, which was designed, along with the help of their wonderful mother, Emily, to provide for their welfare, far into the future. https://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-9213877.html
